Scoot Spain
Rent a scooter for Santa Pola and the Tabarca ferry
Santa Pola is the mainland gateway to Tabarca island, a protected marine reserve minutes from Alicante. You collect your scooter in central Alicante — our only handover point — and reach the harbour in about thirty minutes. The scooter does not board the ferry: park near the pier while you explore the island on foot.
Scooters do not board the ferry — park at Santa Pola harbour.
Route: Alicante → Santa Pola
Take the N-332 south from Alicante. The ride is direct, flat and takes about 25–30 minutes to the fishing town of Santa Pola. Follow signs to the port and ferry pier. Parking is available nearby; in peak season arrive before midday for easier scooter parking. Return to Alicante on the same coastal road.
Santa Pola, the port and Tabarca
Stroll Santa Pola's seafront, grab a coffee facing the sea and buy your Tabarca ferry ticket at the booth or online depending on season. Ferries run frequently in summer (schedules vary — check on your travel day). On Tabarca explore the walled old town, clear-water coves and fish restaurants. Allow time to catch the return ferry and unlock your scooter.
Ferry, parking and rules
The Tabarca ferry does not carry scooters or vehicles: leave the scooter secured with the disc lock in an allowed zone near the port. Carry licence and ID. Ferry times are indicative and depend on the operator and sea conditions. When booking with Scoot Spain, ask us on WhatsApp for your planned excursion day.
