Rent a scooter to visit Benidorm from Alicante
Benidorm is the Costa Blanca's biggest resort and works brilliantly as a scooter day trip from Alicante. Important: you pick up and return the scooter only at our central Alicante handover point — no delivery in Benidorm or at coastal hotels. With a Kymco Skytown 125 ABS booked in Alicante, you can reach Levante beach in about 45 minutes along the coast.
Scooter route: Alicante → Benidorm
Leave central Alicante on the N-332 northbound, or the AP-7 toll road if you prefer a faster run. You'll pass San Juan beach, El Campello and Villajoyosa before Benidorm's skyline appears. Allow 40–45 minutes on a 125cc scooter at an easy pace, longer if you stop for photos on the promenade or in Villajoyosa. The ride is mostly flat and very pleasant in good weather.
What to do in Benidorm
Park in a regulated area near Levante or Poniente beach and explore on foot: the Balcón del Mediterráneo, shopping streets and the old town on the hill. The seafront links both main beaches — allow time for a coffee with a view. If you still have energy, the road towards Mirador del Castell offers wide bay views. Head back with enough fuel; top up in Benidorm if needed before returning to Alicante.
Practical tips
You need a valid licence for 125cc (A1/A2/A or B held for three years) and to be at least 21. Parking turnover is high in Benidorm in summer — arrive early and use marked car parks. Respect urban limits and wear the helmet and vest we provide. Insurance covers Costa Blanca riding within your contract terms.
